Welcome to the Birthday Connections Mindful Giving page. By using this site or making a donation, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
ABOUT US
Birthday Connections is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in Kansas City, Missouri (EIN 87-3915586). We celebrate children's birthdays and strengthen families by empowering parents and caregivers the means to choose gifts for their own children through our Birthday Market.
HOW MINDFUL GIVING WORKS
Each campaign on this site represents one child's real birthday. The gifts listed were chosen by that child's parent or caregiver in our Birthday Market. When you sponsor a birthday, you are making a donation to Birthday Connections to fund those gifts. The gifts are delivered to the agency that referred the family. The agency distributes the gifts to the family. You will not receive any goods in return for your donation.
DONATIONS
• All donations are voluntary gifts to Birthday Connections.
• Donations are processed securely through Mindful Giving and its payment processor, Stripe. By giving, you also agree to their terms.
• You confirm that you are authorized to use the payment method you provide.
• Once a campaign is fully funded, the campaign disappears from the site.
REFUNDS
If you made a donation in error, contact us within 30 days and we will work with you to correct it. Because gifts are purchased as soon as a campaign is funded, refunds are made at our discretion and may not be possible once gifts have been ordered or a tax receipt has been issued.
TAX RECEIPTS
Birthday Connections is a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. We will send a receipt for your records. Please consult your tax advisor about your situation.
PRIVACY AND DIGNITY OF FAMILIES
To protect the privacy and dignity of each family, campaign pages never include a child's name, gender, photo, address, or referring agency. Please do not try to identify or contact the families we serve.
USING THIS SITE
You agree to use this site only for lawful purposes. Please do not:
• Try to access parts of the site or our systems you are not authorized to use
• Upload harmful code or interfere with how the site works
• Use the site to send spam or misleading information
• Copy or reuse our content for commercial purposes without permission
OUR CONTENT
The text, logos, images, and other materials on this site belong to Birthday Connections or are used with permission. You may share campaign links for personal, non-commercial purposes.
